1.) How does Steven's life change when he finds out that Jeffery is sick?

3.) On page 79, Steven says that he has a "new activity: bargaining." What does this mean?
2) Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie relate to Steven's life because he plays the drums and he is very good. There is a girl that Steven likes,Renee, but she doesn't really like him and I think that Annette likes him. Also Dangerous Pie is what Jeffrey made with Steven's special drum sticks.
ReplyDelete3) What they mean by bargaining is he is making deals with God to try and get Jeffrey to be all better. He is going to try to bargain things he does with Jeffrey's health.
1. Steven's life changes because he is always worried about Jeffery. He doesn't want anyone at his school to know about Jeffery's sickness, so he doesn't talk as much, and he doesn't act the same.
ReplyDelete2. Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie relate to Steven's life because Steven plays the drums, Steven likes a girl named Renee, and dangerous pie is one time Jeffery took Steven's autographed drumsticks and stirred his dangerous pie with them.
Steven's life changes by he no longer gets as much attention from his parents.
ReplyDeleteWhen Steven says that he has a "new activity: bargaining." It means that Steven has a new game he plays by himself. He tells himself that if he does something Jeffery will get better.
1. Steven's life changes a lot when he finds out the Jeffery is sick because now, he has to be more careful of what he feeds him, tells him and does to him. Steven also has to be aware that Jeffery is getting exhausted because of chemotherapy, so Jeffery cannot do all things he wants to do. Inside, Jeffery is still Jeffery but on the outside (to Steven) he seems like a whole new worn-down person.
ReplyDelete3. What Steven means by bargaining is that since he is a good brother, he wants the best for him. So, he'll maybe make up weird things with his life and say "if I do this, then Jeffery won't have to go to the hospital." Really, I think that Steven knows that's not going to work, he just wants something to make him feel better.
Yeah, i also think that Annette might like Steven too Michelle!
ReplyDeleteI agree with sm0102 that Steven is always worried about Jeffrey, and he even started using the name he only calls Jeffrey when he feels bad, Jeffy. So I think sm0102 has a very good point.

ReplyDeleteI agree with kk11/04. Steven's life changes so much that he won't get all the attention he wants from his parents. And, I think that Steven knows that too because he's more aware of his brother.

ReplyDeleteDrums relate to Steven's life because he loves to play the drums whenever he gets a chance to. Girls relate to Steven's life because he likes Renee Albert. Dangerous Pie relates to Steven's life because Jeffery was making a dangerous pie with Steven's autographed drumsticks that no one is allowed to touch except for Steven.
